Childbirth Education Classes
We encourage parents, both new and seasoned, to attend childbirth education before the arrival of their new bundle of joy. Being educated helps families to understand the decisions they will be making during pregnancy, labor, birth, and in the postpartum period and feel well-prepared to embark on the journey to becoming parents of a growing family.
Here at The Walking Stick, we value evidence-based education and we also believe in creating safe and sacred spaces for learning. Thanks to the support of Your Birth Partners, we have a hybrid 6-week childbirth class offered at no cost specifically for our Black and Brown families to learn and unpack all that goes into birthing while Black in a safe and sacred space. Please join us for our next 6-week cohort! We encourage birthing people AND their partners to attend so that we are all on the same page when it comes to knowledge, skill, and support throughout the pregnancy journey.
